Our client is a highly esteemed hotel located in the United States, and they are currently seeking to hire individuals for both seasonal and non-seasonal positions. We are looking for a skilled Junior Cook to prepare delicious meals according to the menu. You will cook dishes that delight customers with their taste and timely delivery. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions when cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also essential. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele. Culinary students and graduates can apply as part of our internship and on-the-job training program. You must present either an enrollment letter or a diploma. This 12-month employment program in the US is under J1 professional exchanges visa. Only eligible candidates will be selected for this opportunity. The candidates must pay job placement, Visa sponsorship, and work authorization fees in case of successful placement. Responsibilities • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) • Cook food with various utensils or grillers • Check food while cooking to stir or turn • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly • Check the quality of ingredients. • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages. Requirements
• Proven experience as a cook • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures • Ability to work in a team • Excellent communication skills • Excellent physical condition and stamina • High school diploma or equivalent; • A diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage.
