Controls Designer

Contract to Hire

$100k-$120k (Depending on experience)

Role Summary:

Seeking a Controls Designer to lead and design complex industrial automation systems. Responsibilities include electrical schematics, component specification and software programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Apply NEC, CSA, NFPA codes to industrial circuits.
• Work within a team of electrical/controls and mechanical engineers in the design and commissioning of multiple projects with strict and overlapping schedules.
• Design and program software for PLC, HMI, Servo controls, and more.
• Integrate robotic systems, particularly Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, Kuka.
• Conduct system I/O checks and commissioning.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in industrial automation.
• Experience in panel design from scratch.
• Willing to travel up to 30%.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
