Reporting to the Mind Body Research Group, this position is responsible for the safe operation of a vehicle to distribute research flyers across the greater Boston area. Responsibilities also include monitoring/logging posted flyers and maintaining consistent communication with the research marketing team. CDL license not required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Driver/Courier must be aware of and adhere to all state and federal motor carrier guidelines (including DOT safety regulations) as well as all department and Medical Center policies and procedures. 2. Pick up and deliver: Specimen to and from medical facilities. Incoming mail from the Post Office. Supplies and equipment from each campus and off-site locations as needed. 3. Transport: Ambulatory patients to and from off-site locations such as Chelsea, Brookline, and other locations as needed. Patients and employees between East and West Campus. 4. Conduct daily vehicle and periodic inspections to ensure operability. 5. Complete accurate daily and periodic inspection records; fill out incident reports as necessary. 6. Perform routine maintenance as outlined by vehicle’s manufacturer and in conjunction with the Supervisor. Routine maintenance includes fuel fill up, oil change, Notify Supervisor of more complex repair needs and bring vehicles to repair shops as directed. 7. Perform other duties as required. Required Qualifications: 1. High School diploma or GED required. 2. 0-1 years related work experience required. 3. Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications. Preferred Qualifications: 1. CDL license with passenger endorsement preferred. Competencies: Decision Making, Problem Solving, Independence of Action, Written and Oral Communications, Knowledge, Team Work, Customer Service. Social/Environmental Requirements: Work at an average pace with intermittent breaks, routine work, no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Health Care Status: NHCW: No patient contact. Sensory and Physical Requirements detailed including medium work exertion and various physical activities. The organization requires all staff to be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
