Position Intro

We are seeking a results-oriented and experienced Digital Media Manager to spearhead our digital advertising campaigns, directly impacting our clients’ awareness, engagement and customer acquisition goals.

This critical role involves designing, executing, and optimizing large-scale programmatic, search, display, and video campaigns with a strong focus on connecting client objectives to media measurement strategies and KPIs. The ideal candidate can balance analytical thinking and creative problem solving, and can demonstrate a thorough understanding of the digital advertising landscape, ad technology, and data analytics.

The Sr. Manager of Digital Media will strive to educate the internal and client teams, and will act as an advocate for responsible, measurable media investment and tactical alignment to the customer journey. This role is a client-facing, highly visible role that provides opportunity to elevate client media programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead both strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

  • Partner with account, PM and creative leadership to develop digital media strategies as part of annual activation plans
  • Present – internally and externally – recommendations for media investment, allocations, channel mix and test/learn campaigns
  • Ensure media recommendations align with client briefs and are tightly connected to business goals
  • Proactively identify and leverage advanced media research tools (e.g., Simmons, Comscore, Nielsen, Pathmatics, Semrush, or similar) and audience insight platforms to inform strategic planning, competitive analysis, and RFP development
  • Operate as the authority on digital media by developing lunch and learns, communicating trends and keeping teams aware of important algorithm or other 3rd party changes that could affect campaign performance

Campaign Execution

  • Build flowcharts, budget and creative rotation and tracking documents that provide detailed visibility
  • Oversee and directly manage the setup, execution, and optimization of complex campaigns across key platforms including (but not limited to) Google Ads (Search, Display, Video/YouTube), Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and programmatic DSPs (e.g., StackAdapt, The Trade Desk, DV360, or similar)
  • Test and analyze campaigns to improve messaging, creative, audience targeting, and overall channel performance, with ongoing optimization logs

Analytics and Reporting

  • Aggressively communicate campaign performance, informally and formally
  • Recommend improved or new ways of organizing translating technical performance data into easy to understand visualizations (Lookr studio, for example)
  • Where appropriate, integrate with client-side analytics and technical teams to ensure KPI alignment, tracking integrity and connectivity to CRM systems, site analytics platforms and digital asset management platforms

Operations

  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with media vendors, technology partners, and platform representatives to unlock preferred rates, beta opportunities, and strategic support
  • Follow established Interrupt processes related to SOWs, set up, IOs and billing
  • Collaborate regularly with PM, account and creative teams to ensure smooth tactical execution of creative deliverables needed for the media plans
  • Recommend process improvements that would increase agency profitability without sacrificing campaign quality
  • Collaborate with leadership teams regarding time management, pricing modeling, pacing and hours management
  • Build and strengthen relationships with other departments and communicate regularly with senior leadership on critical campaign developments and ensure they are informed of any urgent matters that could impact client deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of industry experience working in-platform with a proven track record of executing sophisticated, large scale digital media programs that drove tangible business outcomes
  • B2B and B2C required, with building/home categories experience a plus
  • Some agency experience required
  • Brings a dynamic and enthusiastic approach, with a clear vision for advancing our digital media capabilities, fostering team growth, and translating collaborative efforts into remarkable client success
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise placing and managing media in-platform
  • Experience executing programmatic display/CTV/audio, paid social, paid search and online video required; more innovative and traditional media experience a strong plus
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Ads Suite, Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate/Media Buying Professional, Programmatic Certifications) are highly desirable
  • Must be capable of communicating clearly and simply, to best educate clients on the value of their investments and build credibility
  • Experience managing a small team or mentoring employees a plus
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
  • It is preferred that this position work full time in Sylvania, Ohio; Remote or hybrid arrangements may be considered for highly qualified candidates
