Customer Service and Tracking Supervisor
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for logistics, customer service, and team leadership? We're looking for a Customer Service and Tracking Supervisor to oversee a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring smooth and efficient transportation operations. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing shipments, problem-solving, and delivering outstanding service to customers.
What You'll Do
As the Customer Service and Tracking Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading a Tracking and Tracing Team, ensuring shipments are monitored effectively, and promptly addressing any challenges that arise. Your key responsibilities will include:
Real-time shipment tracking - Monitor and escalate any shipments outside the standard tracking process.
Collaboration & communication - Work closely with Customer Service and Dispatch teams to resolve shipment issues and ensure smooth operations.
Customer support & satisfaction - Ensure all shipments meet pick-up and delivery expectations based on customer requirements.
Data management - Maintain accurate shipment information within the Transportation System Management database.
Problem resolution - Troubleshoot and resolve shipment-related issues with team members.
High-volume communication - Respond to customer and carrier emails, calls, and web portal entries in a timely and professional manner.
Process improvement - Work alongside the Operations Supply Chain Compliance Manager to identify and implement continuous improvements.
Escalation management - Address potential delays and communicate crucial time-sensitive information.
Team leadership - Train new team members, oversee PTO coverage, and contribute to developing training materials.
Quality & compliance - Ensure all activities align with established quality standards and internal procedures.

A solid understanding of basic math and data accuracy.
What You Need
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in the transportation or logistics industry.
Previous team lead or supervisory experience.
Work Environment
This is a remote position; however, training will take place at our headquarters in Indianapolis. Quarterly meetings will also be held in person.
The role involves extended periods of working on computers and phones.
