Job Description

Compass Healthcare Consulting & Placement is looking for an energetic Human Resources Manager, HR Manager for Field Staff, who can meet our client's Requirements in the HR department. We are conducting a search for a Home Health Agency located in Brooklyn, NY. Qualified candidates will have prior Licensed Home Health Agency experience, will be familiar with daily operations of a Home Health Agency and will have prior HR experience with Clinical and Non-Clinical staff. Home Health Care experience, required.

As the HR Manager for our Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA), you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of our HR department while adhering to the unique regulations and requirements of the home care industry. You will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive and compassionate work environment that enables our caregivers to provide exceptional care to our clients.

  • Develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract qualified caregivers, including certified nursing assistants (CNAs), home health aides (HHAs), and personal care aides (PCAs).
  • Collaborate with local educational institutions, community organizations, and job fairs to source potential candidates.
  • Implement retention initiatives such as caregiver recognition programs and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations governing home care services, including licensure requirements, training mandates, and background check regulations for On-Boarding and Retention of Field Staff.
  • Coordinate and conduct orientation sessions and ongoing training programs for caregivers to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations and industry best practices and update HR policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for caregivers, addressing their concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, and advocating for their needs.
  • Facilitate open communication between management and caregivers, fostering a culture of transparency and mutual respect.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks in the home care environment.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and address any identified issues promptly.
  • Serve as a liaison with insurance providers and legal counsel on workers' compensation claims and other related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
  • Previous experience in HR management within the home care or healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of caregiver recruitment and retention strategies, as well as familiarity with the challenges and demands of the home care profession.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting caregivers.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in HRIS software and other relevant technology platforms.

Salary $100-105k plus Benefits! Office located in Brooklyn, NY
